The second-hand marketplace Shoppers Express Displeasure Regarding Size Modifications
Vinted users have been reacting angrily after an update resulted in listings displaying inaccurate size information.
This online marketplace has altered its size classifications for female and kids' apparel but did not contact all shoppers about the modification.

Many shoppers and sellers have taken to social media stating that platform listings now display a different size category than originally posted due to the recalibration.
Vinted explained the revised method more closely matches comparable marketplaces.
The platform has recommended to examine their items and manually change the size if necessary, causing user dissatisfaction.
Sizing System Modifications
Earlier, the measurements included numerical and alphabetical indicators, for instance S/8 or M/10.
The revised method features a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10.
For certain items, the measurements have been reclassified - such as a large size used to be a 12 but is now a UK 16-18.
User Stories
One content creator, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
Another user, located in Scotland, explained products she uploaded with size 14 tags were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she explained.
Necessary Adjustments
Charlotte Lunn, based in Derby, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing".
"This situation is especially annoying, since I have chronic health issues and Vinted sales have been crucial after experiencing income reduction," she said.
Platform Context
The platform boasts over 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK.
It has emerged as a preferred choice to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance that an unexpected update on the platform has faced criticism: previously, the service retracted a modification regarding delivery choices due to shopper criticism.
